In the Disney animation, Up, Carl and Ellie's love story is just classic... I used to dream I'd find love the same way - you know,  meet the love of your life when you're kids, get married, and grow old together. It didn't happen like that, but that's life...

Keep Moving Forward

Disney's Meet The Robinsons was one of the first cartoons we ever introduced to our daughter shortly after she was born, and it became one of her favourites. Funny enough, it was the first time I would be seeing it too.

What caught me initially, was the 'craziness' of the cartoon characters. These guys were not normal people; the Robinsons in the future were definitely not what you'd call a normal family. Then I got emotionally caught up in Lewis' desire to find out why his mother abandoned him. I didn't hit me until after I'd watched it probably a 100 times, that Lewis was also stuck in his past - yearning to find out a truth that was better left buried, why his mother left him at the orphanage.

The Secret Ingredient of My Secret Ingredient Soup - The open secrets of Kungfu Panda

So here I am, a mother, and my screen time - for the most part of the day revolves around cartoons and animations - and I suddenly realise that they have so much to offer (not all cartoons though), but it’s amazing how many lessons one learns from these things.

We’ve watched Kungfu Panda how many times I really can’t remember, but A LOT!, and then this morning, it all hits me.

A lot of us are like Po -waiting and believing in someone to change us from the ugly, or unsuccessful or lowlife that we think we are.
